BREATHE Program: Attendance Support

Location: North Andover High School
Schedule: Three (3) days per week
Compensation: $150 per day
Reports To: Building Administration
Position Summary
The Attendance Support Specialist provides attendance management and administrative support while assisting with the daily operation of the BREATHE Program. This position works closely with administration and guidance to improve student attendance through accurate data management, communication with families, attendance interventions, and organized record keeping. The position also provides support within the BREATHE Program as needed, helping students remain connected to school through restorative practices and structured academic support.
Essential Responsibilities
Attendance Support
- Monitor and maintain daily student attendance records.
- Review attendance data and identify attendance concerns.
- Prepare attendance emails, letters, reports, and documentation.
- Contact families and staff regarding attendance concerns.
- Maintain organized attendance files and student records.
- Assist with attendance improvement initiatives.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records.
Administrative Support
- Enter attendance information into the data system.
- Assist with organization of attendance documentation.
- Support building administrators with attendance-related tasks.
BREATHE Program Support
- Assist with supervision of students assigned to the BREATHE Program as needed.
- Support restorative activities and student reflection.
- Assist students in completing academic work while assigned to the program.
- Help maintain a supportive and structured environment.
Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with administrators and staff
- Communicate professionally with students and caregivers.
- Participate in meetings and training as assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred
- Experience working in a school setting is preferred.
- Experience with student information systems (PowerSchool) preferred.
