Job Summary

The Public School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated ABA Home Provider to deliver direct home-based behavioral support to students with special needs. The primary purpose of these home services is to generalize skills learned at school into the home environment, as well as to provide structure and strategies within the home to ensure behavioral consistency from school to home. Working under the guidance of the district’s Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the provider collaborates closely with school staff and families to implement individualized programming, foster functional skill acquisition, and manage target behaviors.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Skill Generalization & Support: Implement direct 1:1 home-based ABA instruction designed specifically to bridge school-learned skills into home routines and daily living activities.

• Behavioral Consistency: Provide clear structure, visual supports, and behavior management strategies within the home environment to maintain consistency across school and home settings.

• Data Collection & Tracking: Maintain accurate, timely, and efficient daily data collection on targeted behavioral goals and skill acquisition programs.

• Parent Collaboration & Modeling: Model behavior-analytic strategies and structure for family members to promote long-term success and skill maintenance in the home.

• Safety Protocols: Implement de-escalation strategies and Safety-Care emergency procedures when necessary to ensure student and environment safety.

• Team Communication: Attend scheduled consultations with the supervising BCBA and share updates with the district special education team.

Qualifications & Requirements

• ABA Training: Demonstrated background and formal training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and practices (RBT certification preferred).

• Safety-Care Certification: Active certification in Safety-Care Behavioral Safety Training (or ability to transfer/obtain certification prior to start date).

• Data Systems: Proven efficiency in systematic data collection, behavior tracking methods, and session logging.

• Availability: Consistent availability during after-school hours (late afternoon and early evening).

• Background Checks: Successful completion of state background screening, CORI/SORI, and fingerprinting requirements.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to work directly within a student’s home environment.

• Capacity to physically move, transition, and implement safety protocols as trained in Safety-Care.

• Reliable transportation to and from home sites within the school district boundaries.
